Copenhagen City Breaks

Copenhagen is a beautiful city that is perfect for strolling. The city is extremely diverse in relation to culture, craft and commerce and is a wonderful place to visit. Most people living in Denmark speak English, and they have a very child friendly attitude Denmark is one of the richest countries in the world and Danish people are known for being handsome- do you really need more reasons to visit?

The Tivoli Garden are Copenhagen’s equivalent of Central Park, and are perfect for a day visit. They open from April to October, and the best time to visit is just as night falls as the charming daytime lake, flowerbeds and rides all seem to become even more magical.

The Carlsberg factory is another great place to spend a day, as just like at James Gate, they give you a taste of their wares after the factory tour. What better way to spend a day?

Danish cuisine has changed radically over the past twenty years, as it became necessary to blend southern European influences with the richness of Denmark's natural produce. This includes its traditionally excellent dairy products, its organic fruit and vegetables and the raw ingredients from its surrounding waters. 10 of the city’s finest restaurants have been awarded 11 Michelin stars between them so if you’re looking for fine dining, you’re guaranteed to find something to suite your tastes.

Many of Copenhagen's cafés and bars are half submerged in cellars or located in picturesque historical buildings, and range from traditional to trendy. Virtually all cafés and bars serve alcohol and food, and Copenhagen’s prices are usually reasonable.

Europe's longest shopping street, Stroget, has been pedestrianized making it so much easier for visitor’s to shop to their heart’s content. While all the big retailers are accounted for in the city, there are also many independent retailers and exclusive boutiques, so if you prefer to shop around you’ll be spoiled for choice.
